Shells in the sand
Shells in the sand
A lazy sailboat ride takes you to an island beach just out of sight of Naples and Marco Island. You stroll along the deserted sands, drinking in the refreshing breeze. Sound perfect? Of course it does, but it gets even better when you realize that the beach is filled with beautiful shells like sand dollars, lightning whelks, fighting conchs, fig shells, angel wings and more.

We're willing to share the secret that the beaches of the Paradise Coast region of Naples, Marco Island and the Everglades are filled with keepsake shells. Prowl the main beaches of Naples and Marco Island or take a short boat ride to the many deserted islands beaches and sand bars nearby for some of the best shelling in the world. Be sure to check out one of the excellent shelling excursions in the area during your stay.
