Come and enjoy a beautiful summer evening under the stars and listen to jazz music performed by superb musicians. Bring your chairs or blankets and relax on Watkins Lawn. Food and drinks can be purchased. No coolers please. Skilled jazz saxophonist/vocalist Alan Darcy and his band will kick-off this year’s “SummerJazz on the Gulf” concert series on June 13, 2009. Known for always putting on an electrifying show, Darcy combines an appealing blend of Pop and Jazz that truly showcases his impressive saxophone and flute skills and smooth vocals. His saxophone skills are often compared to David Sanborn, and his show includes an eclectic combination of original jazz tunes from his three CDs, as well as covers of such crowd favorites as Sting, Billy Joel, and Frank Sinatra.
