Ghost Orchid Specials & Packages

A rare ghost orchid bloomed for the third time in 2010 at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in Naples in August with one flower visible. Several buds on the plant didn't open. The flower bloomed with up to fourteen blossoms from late June through late July, and the plant produced one bloom early in the season during March.
Call the sanctuary for updates on the flower’s status, 239-348-9151. Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is located at 375 Sanctuary Road West. From I-75, take Exit 111 (Immokalee Rd.) East for 15 miles, then turn left onto Sanctuary Rd. and follow the signs. Click here for directions.
The following attractions, hotels and restaurants in the Naples, Marco Island and Everglades City areas offered special rates or packages for visitors coming to view the ghost orchid. Since the flower is no longer in bloom, check with each property to determine if they will continue to offer their special ghost orchid rates.

Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens

Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve
