Big Cypress Gallery Annual Fall Festival

Big Cypress Gallery Annual Fall Festival
October 28 - 29, 2017
Big Cypress National Preserve, 52388 Tamiami Trail E., Ochopee, FL 34141
Celebrated photographer Clyde Butcher makes his first public appearance since suffering a stroke in May on October 28 & 29 when he and his wife Niki open their Big Cypress Gallery to the public for swamp walks and more. Clyde will be signing books, calendars and prints while Big Cypress National Preserve rangers lead walks on the swamp trails behind the gallery.

Visit with Clyde & Niki Butcher. They are looking forward to sharing their new work and photographic adventures stories. Clyde will be showing his Cuba exhibit with information panels about his Cuban expeditions. This was commissioned by the United Nations to create a portfolio of the mountainous lands of Cuba in 2002.

Holiday Book Signing – Due to Clyde’s health we have changed his schedule. This will be his Holiday Book signing event. Clyde will be in the gallery for a meet and greet and will personalize his books, calendars, and photographs. This is a great start to your holiday gift shopping!

Ranger Talks – on our nature trail located behind the gallery, Big Cypress park rangers will have informational tents set up. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Big Cypress National Preserve and hear about all the great places there are to explore.

Ranger-led Swamp Walk Tours – Enhance your understanding of the Big Cypress on a one hour guided tour behind the gallery with a park ranger. All you need to bring is a sense of adventure and a change of clothes. The swamp walks are a fundraiser for the park. Adults $50; children free. Walks are about one hour long. When you arrive you will pay the non-profit South Florida National Parks Trust for your swamp walk.
Admission: Free gallery event; swamp walks $50 for adults - kids free. Collier County Government Webaward Winner IAGTO - Golf Destination of the Year 2014 ACCREDITED - Destination Marketing Organization
