A father’s love of music and a daughter’s passion for basketball are at odds; thankfully they have modernist composer Charles Ives playing referee. Well into the latest years of his life, but full of enthusiasm and mischief and humor. Deeply subversive and humanist.. COACH LAURA STARR – 20’s-40s. Slightly butch, geeky, high school basketball coach. Takes the game very seriously. Great dribbling skills. Tough and vulnerable.  JOHN STARR – (45+). A talented violinist. Strict, patriarchal, devoted to his music, a cold father. Resentful of sports.  Rehearsals start December 4, 2017. NEEDED: 2 Men (45+) Ability to play the violin and or piano a plus. 1 Women (20’s – 40’s).
