Naples, Marco Island, Everglades CVB Recognized for Tourism Marketing Excellence in Annual Adrian Awards Competition

CVB Wins 10 Awards for Tourism Advertising and Public Relations

NAPLES, FLA., January 11, 2016 – The Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention & Visitors Bureau has been recognized with 10 awards in the annual Adrian Awards competition, presented by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International for tourism marketing work in 2015.

The Adrian Awards honor excellence in travel advertising, digital marketing and public relations across numerous segments in the industry, including hotels, airlines, cruise lines, car rental companies, destinations, credit card companies and more. Winners are selected from a field of nearly 1,300 entries by senior industry and media experts and honored at the Adrian Awards Gala, held in New York City each February.

“We’ve concentrated our efforts to stand out by promoting our beautiful and diverse destination through innovative and engaging advertisements and public relations campaigns,” said Jack Wert, Collier County’s tourism executive director. “We are truly honored to be recognized by the best in the business.”

The “Discover Your Paradise” campaign launched in January 2015 in major markets across the Northeast and Midwest using a mix of cable, out-of-home and digital platforms. The winter campaign encouraged consumers to define what paradise means to them through use of enriching visuals capturing the warmth, luxury and spirit of the area. The advertisements compared real-time temperatures in the respective markets with those in Naples and featured images of the Gulf of Mexico, white sandy beaches and clear, blue skies.

The CVBs public relations team enticed the editorial team at Rhapsody, the inflight magazine for United Airline’s upper class cabin, with tales of the quiet beauty of the Gulf Coast Everglades wilderness, which can be enjoyed along with luxurious accommodations and dining in Naples. The resulting 8-page feature in the First Person – Far Flung series beautifully captures the writer’s adventures in fly-fishing along with his rewards in Naples.
