HSMAI HONORS NAPLES, MARCO ISLAND, EVERGLADES CVB WITH SIX GOLD, TWO SILVER AND FOUR BRONZE AWARDS IN 58th ANNUAL ADRIAN AWARDS COMPETITION

Collier Tourism Executive Director Jack Wert Honored as one of the Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Sales and Marketing

NEW YORK, N.Y. (February 24, 2015) – The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has recognized the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) with 12 Adrian Awards honoring creative brilliance and best practices in hospitality, travel and tourism-related marketing for 2014. HSMAI paid tribute to the Collier County tourism marketing team during the 58th annual HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala, a black-tie affair attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel and tourism marketing executives at the New York Marriott Marquis on February 23. The CVB took home six Gold, two Silver and four Bronze Adrian Awards for advertising and digital marketing excellence. This year’s contest garnered more than 1,200 entries from around the world, with entries judged by top executives throughout the industry. 

In addition to commending the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades CVB’s award-winning work, the Gala and dinner reception honored lifetime achievement in travel and hospitality marketing, as well as The HSMAI Top 25: Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Sales and Marketing. Collier County tourism executive director Jack Wert is included on this year’s prestigious list of Top 25 honorees, selected by a panel of senior industry executives based on recent work meeting the criteria of creativity and innovation; cutting edge sales or marketing campaigns; triumph in challenging situations; and sales efforts that result in dramatic gains. “Our tourism marketing team works very hard to produce creative and effective destination marketing materials that encourage vacation visits to our destination, resulting in over $1.8 billion in annual economic impact to Collier County,” said Collier tourism executive director Jack Wert. “Personally, I am very honored and humbled to be included in the 2014 list of the HSMAI Top 25: Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Sales and Marketing,” Wert added.

The CVB’s six Gold Adrian Awards were given for the “Paradise Refined and Redefined” integrated advertising campaign; the “Paradise Refined and Redefined” multi-media video campaign; the “Priceless Memories, Priced Less” interactive video and TV campaign; the “Priceless Memories, Priced Less” digital marketing Quattro unit; the “Meetings in Paradise” group sales video; and the “Paradise Refined and Redefined” leisure brand video. Silver Adrian Awards were given for the “Paradise Refined and Redefined” magazine print ad; and the “Wackos Stone Crab Festival Video” for digital/social media advertising. Bronze Adrian Awards were given for the “Art Basel Geo-Fencing” campaign for mapping and location marketing; the “Florida’s Paradise Coast Consumer Email” email campaign; the “Meetings in Paradise” video for digital B2B video; and the “Chicago Real Time Real Temperature” outdoor billboard ad.
