Stay past the normal closing time or just come for the evening program on monthly nightly events at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. Each month the program takes a special focus. The May 22 program is about reptiles and frogs. Participants may take guided or self-guided walks on the 2.25 boardwalk through the old growth bald cypress forest and enjoy special presentations and programs, along with live music, art exhibits and envionrmental education programs.

Please join us on Thursday, May 23 at the Naples Backyard History Old Naples Museum as we host Florida Weekly 'Undercover Historian', Maureen Sullivan Hartung, for a special summer season lecture titled; "Beer Worms, Square Grouper and Indians, Oh My!". Writer, author, photographer and Naples resident for 30 years, Sullivan-Hartung applied for a photographer's position in 1993 with the weekly Everglades Echo newspaper and came away with a reporting assignment - in addition to taking photos. With Everglades City as her assigned "beat" she soon became immersed in the community and fell in love with its charm and many colorful characters. As a special treat, our guests will be greeted with traditional Florida Sawgrass Folk Music courtesy of Everglades Eco Tourguide, Cindy Hackney and friends.
