Named one of America's Top Ten Beaches by Dr. Beach. Numerous animal species reside in this natural setting including the land-dwelling gopher tortoise and a variety of sea turtles that nest on the beach.  Visitors are able to enjoy the ambience of the park's quiet, pristine surroundings. The park includes nature trails, estuary waters for canoe tours and a long stretch of natural beach.  Restroom facilities and showers are available and there is a concession with rental beach equipment and food and drinks for purchase.  There is a pavilion for nature programs.
