The Naples Jazz Society, Inc. was founded in 1995, for the purpose of sponsoring, preserving, and promoting jazz music in southwest Florida. The word "jazz" can have many meanings, but our emphasis is on the earlier forms of music. Therefore, we support the bands that play the American music of the 1890-1940 era – those golden years when the Dixieland jazz style of music was developing.
