Between July 11-14, Rock Hill, SC, famously known as “Football City USA” will host the Football University (FBU) Top Gun Showcase, the biggest showcase event in the country for both middle school and high school football players.

And the very best from Naples will be in attendance to put Florida’s Paradise Coast on the map.

Top Gun features the best of the best in middle school and high school from all across the country in an elite showcase environment designed to test mental and physical football skill.  Athletes from 40 states and 3 Canadian provinces will get elite training from FBU’s staff of 60 NFL coaches.

Here are the Collier County natives that will be 2019 FBU Top Gun Showcase student-athletes:

• Quarterbacks Dylan McNamara, Dom Ponder, Ty Keller, Nathan White, Dylan Rodd, and Brady Thomas

• Running Backs Donovan Sealy and Tyler Coleman

• Wide Receievrs Dominic Martucci, Richemard Mellien, Damian Coleman, and Olsen Henry

• Tight End Andre Dollar

• Defensive Linemen Jacob Allen, Douglas Glennon, Adam Branchedor, and Damon Donalds

• Linebackers Jayden Noel and John Janik

• Defensive Backs Roberto Torres and Devin Moore

This year’s Showcase will not be the final stop this year for many of the Top Gun athletes in attendance.  The selection committee for the All-American Bowl on NBC will be extending invites.  On top of that, there will be 150 invitations to the National Combine in January in San Antonio, the nation’s top underclassman event.  And the FBU Freshman All-American Bowl Powered By Adidas, this December in Naples, will have 20 Top Gun attendees among those selected to play in the premier freshman football event.

Last year, Naples and Collier County natives Dylan McNamara, Dom Ponder, Devin Moore, and Andre Dollar made their names on the national stage and introduced themselves to the nation as FBU Freshman All-Americans.  They are returning to FBU Top Gun because of the opportunity to get better before their sophomore seasons and the further exposure to elite competition FBU offers them.

Football University is the same organization that owns and operates the FBU National Championship every December, which annually concludes in Naples, Florida’s Paradise Coast.  FBU’s Championship Week has made Naples a Football Paradise, with thousands of athletes in the 6th, 7th, and 8th-grades playing for a National Championship on the Path To Naples every year.

Football University originated from the All-American Bowl, the nation’s premier high school football event, and between FBU and the Bowl there has been a well-established pipeline to athletes in Naples and Collier County.  Collier County natives that started their paths at FBU and were honored as All-Americans include Tennessee Vols WR Tyler Byrd, Notre Dame TE George Takacs, Virginia Tech long snapper Oscar Shadley, Clemson RB Chez Mellusi, and Minnesota Vikings cornerback Mackensie Alexander.

In addition to the invitations being handed out to the elite athletes, 247Sports and XOS Digital representatives will be in attendance to analyze and create updated scouting reports of top performers, as the final tune-up and scouting report before the 2019 football season begins.

Football University is the original position-specific training experience with NFL coaches. This is where youth and high school football players get better.  Know more by visiting footballuniversity.org.
