GAEA Guides - guided kayak nature tours paddles the waterways of Southwest Florida, enjoying our tropical wilderness and the wildlife that abounds here. You'll get intimate with nature, journeying through mangrove tunnels, wildlife preserves, creeks, bayous, rivers, etc. seeing many of the 300 species of birds that frequent this area, dolphin, manatee and otters and learning about the history of the ancient Calusas that inhabited our coast for thousands of years. Pick-up, delivery, all equipment and a Master Naturalist guide are provided on all tours. Tours are typically 2 - 3 hours of gentle paddling. We also do full day tours for the more intrepid paddler.

Specialty tours include: Estuary Tours in Rookery Bay, Naples Bay and the Estuary of the Cocohatchee River. Manatee Tour in the Gordon River - get up close and personal with these gentle giants and learn about their history, habitat, and habits (seasonal)

Sunset Tour in Wiggins Pass - co-ordinated with the correct tides to see the most animal life, especially birds (over 300 species in this area) and, of course, we see the famous Southwest Florida SUNSET from the best point of view.

Bird Rookery Tour in Rookery Bay - A visit to very special islands where over 10,000 birds of up to 12 species roost for the night. Truly amazing!

Bat Tours - Paddle on the beautiful Cocohatchee River and see some old Florida charm. Huge trees of many species, ferns and flowers are some of the natural things we will encounter and then at dusk we will see the bats come out of their hiding places. You will learn about these very interesting and important creatures.

Mangrove Tunnel Tour in Rookery Bay - join us in the otherworldly pleasures of a visit to the Mangrove Tunnels of our estuaries, one of the most intriguing areas in the world. See birds, fish, dolphin, manatee and maybe an elusive otter.

Archeological Tour - learn about our native Calusa Civilization by visiting the islands they inhabited - sponsored by the Randell Research Center -
