The purpose of The Art Gallery program at Florida Gulf Coast University is to broaden the learning and cultural experiences of the university students, as well as the community through a program of exhibition, interpretation and education. To that end, we provide exhibitions of contemporary art from local, national, and international artists in our Main Gallery. In addition, our Main Gallery hosts the works of our Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition once a year and our Senior Project Exhibitions twice a year, each at the end of the semester.

Our ArtLab gallery is dedicated to the exhibition of student work entirely. Students and art classes submit proposals for exhibitions they would like to launch in the ArtLab and the Gallery staff approve and schedule the revolving exhibitions. The ArtLab exhibitions change every two to three weeks while the Main Gallery exhibitions are scheduled for a four to five week run.

Opening receptions and visits to the galleries are free and open to the public. Our programming is for the benefit of all our community members: student, university and our SW Florida community.
