4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The 2019 Annual Halloween Spooktacular will take place along Naples' Main Street on October 31 from 4:30pm until 7:30pm.
The event is free and open to the public with nearby free parking and $10 valet parking available.
There are more than 30 activities to choose from in this year's line-up including the annual pet and children's costume contests benefiting the Humane Society of Collier County and Nicklaus Children's Hospital Resource Center. Pets and children need to check in between 4:30 - 5:30 pm with judging for both contests taking place at 6:00 pm. Suggestion donation of $5 per entry.
New activities this year include the aerialists dressed as pirates from the Family Circus Acrobats performing four 30-minute high-flying shows on trapezes and tight ropes. A House of Heroes will be located at the 6th Street median, starring more than a dozen live costumed Super Heroes including Batman, Iron Man, Superman, and Wolverine, available for photos and to help save the world.
Merriments include live performances from the Naples Players, Village School, North Naples Church, Kiwanis, The Children's Museum (C'mon), and the return of Marcus Zotter, a Naples painter and sculptor best known for his live painting performances, will create a live original art experience inspired by favorite Super Heroes.
In addition to the tricks 'n treats at participating 5th Avenue South merchants, sales of cotton candy, snow cones and popcorn will benefit Baby Basics, a local charity that provide free diapers for working families. Ice cream and Dave's Cosmic Subs will also be available.
Live music kicks off up and down the avenue at 4:30 pm with 10 live wide-ranging musical talents such as hometown favorites Danny Vergas, Emma Arnold, Skyler Enrico, Sarah Hadeka, Chris Bepko, Justin Ross, Jade Strings and Patchouli with DJ Bad Boy hosting the two live Halloween costume contests.
Plans are also underway with the City of Naples Police and Collier County Sheriff's Office to host a motorcycle brigade plus a live visit and photo op with McGruff the Crime Dog. Alyssa's Animal Sanctuary and The Collier Train Depot will also present displays while the Swamp Buggy will showcase original swamp buggy and offer rides and historical information. Balloon Buccaneers will dot the avenue with engaging balloon displays and commemorative personal photos will be available at the Groupie Booth for a small fee.
Additional children's Halloween activities from My Gym, Inplay, The Chipmunk Indoor Playground, and Gulfside Volleyball will offer creative interactive displays.
