Family Fun at Eagle Lakes Community Park

A trip to Florida’s Paradise Coast is full of great activities, sights, and experiences for the whole family. Eagle Lakes Community Park is a center of entertainment for all ages, complete with a bike path, bird watching, community center, and a family-friendly aquatic park.

Bike Paths and Trails

Bike, jog, or take a walk along the trails that connect this community park to several surrounding ponds, picnic spots, and playgrounds. This 1-mile paved and connected pathway is perfect for outdoor exercise and self-led open-air workouts. A 2.5-mile nature trail gives visitors a place to connect with nature and view wildlife.

Bird Watching

Many birds are viewable at Eagle Lakes Community Park. Over 220 species have been recorded here. Part of the Great Florida Birding Trail, visitors can expect to see Short-tailed Hawks, Bald Eagles and Ospreys year-round. Native plants around the ponds attract a variety of songbirds and over 20 species of wood-warbler. In spring and fall, Swallow-tailed Kites can be spotted. In winter, Painted Buntings and various sparrows are found. Rare sightings of Eurasian Wigeons, Swainson’s Hawks, Western Kingbirds and Scissor-tailed Flycatchers have been recorded as well. One of the most notable bird-watching gems is a huge Osprey nest that is always occupied by its feathered inhabitants.

Aquatic Park

There are so many features in this facility, this park is sure to make a splash with visitors and community members alike. A 25-yard by 25-meter heated pool ensures comfortable temperatures for everyone year-round. A wading pool and a children’s activity pool keeps the whole family safe and entertained. Best of all, two slides—one 177-foot open slide and another 122-foot enclosed slide—offer endless fun and thrills. There are also various swimming and aerobic lessons offered throughout the year.

Mon-Fri: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sat: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sun: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Community Center

Along with the community center, you’ll find a fitness center with a wide variety of fitness equipment, sports fields, playgrounds and picnic tables makes this a fun family spot for a day outdoors. The park features lighted basketball courts, lighted baseball and softball fields, and lighted soccer fields that are ideal for sports teams to practice and play.
