The 15th Annual Naples Stone Crab Festival returns to Tin City from Friday, October 24 to Sunday, October 26, 2025, marking the beginning of Florida’s stone crab season with a weekend of seafood, live music, and fun along the historic waterfront. Admission is free, making it a must-do fall event for both locals and visitors hoping to taste fresh stone crab claws. With this in mind, we’ve put together this flexible 3-4 day itinerary to help you make the most of the festival and discover nearby attractions across Naples, Marco Island, Goodland, and Everglades City.

Thursday, October 23 – Arrival and Dinner in Downtown Naples

Arrive early to check into your hotel and settle in before the weekend crowds. If you’re hoping to stay close to Tin City (where the festival takes place), the closest option is Bayfront Inn 5th Avenue. It’s directly across the street, so you won’t even have to worry about parking! Other great options include the Inn on Fifth for a boutique stay in the heart of downtown or Bellasera Resort for suite-style accommodations.

5th Avenue South in Naples is particularly famous for its fine dining options as well as shopping and art galleries. So, you’ll have no shortage of options for dinner plans! Make the short walk to Truluck’s to sample stone crab claws harvested daily and served within 24 hours. If you prefer Italian, Alberto’s on Fifth offers house-made pasta and local seafood specials. Or, if you’d like to experience an upscale steakhouse, Ocean Prime is a fantastic choice, especially if you’re celebrating a special occasion.

Friday, October 24 – Festival Kickoff at Tin City

If you have a bit of a sweet tooth, don’t miss Café Marquise for breakfast, offering fresh crepes, New Orleans beignets, and even baklava. Or, head to 5th Avenue Coffee Company & 6th Street Diner for hearty choices like breakfast burritos, quiche, and bagel lox. After breakfast, consider stopping by Naples Beach for a scenic walk along the white sands. Or, if you’re more into history, book the noon slot for a tour at Naples Historical Society’s Palm Cottage, a Landmark in the National Register of Historic Places.

After your tour, plan an early lunch or snack so you can fully enjoy the festival’s food offerings later in the day. Swan River Seafood is a must-try for fresh fish, crab, and shellfish, and Blueberry’s is a local haunt for American classics and quick service.

The Naples Stone Crab Festival officially opens at 5 p.m. with the ceremonial cracking of the first stone crab claw. From 6–9 p.m., live music from Soapy Tuna Band fills Tin City while vendors and restaurants such as Pincher’s serve claws by the pound, along with sides, drinks, and other seafood dishes. You’ll also find arts and crafts vendors set up along the waterfront and options for short boat rides or sightseeing tours departing nearby.

Saturday, October 25 – Full Festival Experience

Your closest option for breakfast today is The Café on Fifth, serving up fluffy omelets, healthy bowls, and fresh-baked muffins and scones. Another popular option within walking distance is Jane’s Café on 3rd, where the eggs benedict are a must-order item.

Plan to walk over to Tin City when the festival opens at 10 a.m. to take full advantage of the day! Live performances include Matty Jollie from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Bombshell Band from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Josh Cruz Sound from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Take your time perusing the entire festival space, picking up souvenirs, sampling fresh stone crab, and enjoying the waterfront view. After the festival, make your way back to your hotel. If you’re still hungry but need a break from seafood, check out Bistro 821, Campiello, or D’Amico’s The Continental.

Sunday, October 26 – Excursion to Everglades City

If you haven’t quite had your fill of the Stone Crab Festival, consider returning for a second day. On Sunday, October 26th, the event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with special appearances from Gator Nate from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Dazzling Del Rey from 2 to 5 p.m.

If the festival has inspired you to learn more about the history of stone crab, take a day trip to
Everglades City, the Stone Crab Capital of the World. Stop for breakfast at Tony’s Off Third Street in Naples before continuing south. Once you’ve made it to Everglades City, there are three places that every foodie should visit: Grimm’s Stone Crab, City Seafood Restaurant & Market, and Triad Seafood Market & Café.

Once you’ve experienced Florida’s “Last Frontier” and are ready to head back towards Naples, your culinary outing wouldn’t be quite complete without a stop in Goodland. This small fishing village is home to both Kirk Fish Company and Little Bar, both local institutions.

Monday, October 27 – A Filling Experience

For those who’ve extended their trip until Monday, we suggest having a last beach morning on Naples Beach before making the drive (or flight) home. If you’re looking for something different, consider taking a stroll through Cambier Park or even checking out the latest exhibits at Naples Art Institute.

No matter how you choose to spend your Naples Stone Crab Festival weekend, we’re sure it’s been a “filling” experience. And, of course, to truly make the most of your time with us, don’t forget to download the free Stone Crab Pass below. To celebrate the freshest seafood, ONLY Paradise will do.
