Tigertail Beach - Marco Island

Discover natural beauty at Marco Island's Tigertail Beach
This exquisite area offers a two-for-one: a manicured shoreline with full amenities for a gorgeous beach day, and just across the lagoon, a wild, untamed space teeming with opportunities for exploration. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the variety of wildlife that can be spotted, as well as the numerous shell opportunities scattered across the sand.
A Tale of Two Beaches
Looking for the typical beach day? You can find that here. You can also explore the untamed Florida wilderness just across the lagoon, full of tidal pools and native wildlife at every turn.
Shells, Shells, & More Shells
This is the spot for shellers. You’ll find Atlantic Calico Scallop, Florida Fighting Conch, Lightning Whelk, and Horse Conch, just to name a few. You might even come across the Scaphella Junonia shell, a very uncommon and known prize on the island.
Tidal pools are perfect for shelling at low tide and offer a variety of opportunities for wildlife learning and exploration for all ages. Take a peek into some of the clear tidal pools and you’ll see they’re full of sea stars, sand dollars, and other little sea creatures.
