World-Class Golf and Hospitality at The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón
Imagine standing in the tee box, driver in hand, a light breeze at your back, and looking out at a wide, vividly green fairway. It’s a warm day on Florida’s Paradise Coast, and you’re about to play the first hole of the Tiburón Golf Club’s Gold Course. The 573-yard par 5 is about to test you right away, but hugging the right side gives you a chance to make the green in 2.
Decisions, decisions. And to think: seventeen more of these scenic, challenging holes await.
Then there’s the Black Course, which is widely recognized as the harder of Club’s two layouts. Black and Gold are artfully interwoven across an 800-acre footprint in a beautiful tropical setting.
This is why serious golfers — in groups or as couples — make pilgrimages to play Tiburón. The golf club is part of The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón complex, so along with fun on the course, you’ll experience five-star luxury, fine meals and unparalleled service.
The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón has long been a top resort of choice for visitors seeking a premier play-and-stay experience. Peak season is roughly November through April — when the weather is perfect — but the courses stay in terrific shape all year round. That makes Tiburón a great place for a summer golf getaway, as well.
The Tiburón courses are adjacent to the hotel. Even the most traveled golfers are taken aback by the layout’s sheer beauty. Walking the course will definitely get your steps in, but it can be taxing, especially if it’s hot and sunny. Most players take a cart, especially since the club does not offer caddy service.
Tiburón’s courses, both designed by Greg Norman, share some unique aspects. There is no conventional rough. Balls that miss the fairway often run into waste areas made of coquina, pine straw, or wetlands. Stacked sod-wall bunkers give several holes the flavor of Scottish links. Tall pines and cypress trees frame many holes, creating corridors that favor accuracy over power.
The 6,949-yard Black Course is considered more difficult — but not by much — because of its slightly higher slope, tighter corridors and tougher hazards. The Gold Course is longer (7,382 yards), with many holes bending gently rather than making sharp doglegs. The Black feels more enclosed, with certain holes requiring players to shape their tee shot between trees and waste areas. The Gold allows for more recovery opportunities.
Play Where The Pros Play
Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson and a host of other top women players have taken on the Gold Course. Fred Couples, Tom Watson, Lee Trevino and other legends have tackled the Black Course, as well as top current players like Bernhard Langer, K.J. Choi and Stewart Cink.
Tiburón Golf Club brings three professional golf tournaments to Florida’s Paradise Coast every year. The Gold Course is home to the Grant Thornton Invitational — which features teams consisting of one male and one female pro — as well as the LPGA Tour’s CME Group Tour Championship. The Black Course hosts the PGA TOUR Champions Chubb Classic.
The club's 27,000-square-foot, Mediterranean-style clubhouse features three dining rooms and lounge areas, as well as an award-winning golf shop and a full suite of services for golf vacations. The place has a contemporary, luxurious atmosphere.
Put it all together and it’s no wonder Tiburón is consistently rated among the Top 20 golf facilities in Florida by Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine. Best of all, it’s just one of the many amazing places to tee it up in the area – making Florida’s Paradise Coast a true golfer’s paradise.
When The Game Ends, The Enjoyment Continues
While the play at Tiburón Golf Club is as exceptional as it gets, the resort itself continues to elevate its game, as well. In 2026, the entire property is being reimagined – creating an all-new expression of nature framed elegance. Inspired by the destination’s tropical greenery and lush surroundings, the renewed resort will debut a refined haven nestled among lush gardens and championship greens.
Of course, the best way to complement a day of unforgettable golf is with an incredible meal – and the resort’s restaurants are also benefitting from some enhancements. Fenrose begins the day with refined French breakfast traditions and meticulous egg dishes, complemented by Café Fenrose, an all-day market designed for ease and flavor driven opulence. Bold regional flavors and styles await you at Palmera, where coastal menus are shaped by Gulf Coast harvests, sun-ripened produce, and local seafood. The Club Lounge elevates its offerings with refreshed furnishings and polished presentations, creating the perfect space to linger over a well-crafted beverage and celebrate the shots of the day.
Resort amenities include pools with cabana service; The Reservoir, a waterpark with waterslides, winding rivers and a splash pad for little ones; a tennis center and more. You can also take the hotel’s shuttle four miles west to sister property The Ritz-Carlton Naples, where you’ll enjoy a state-of-the-art, 15,000-square-foot spa that will provide all the pampering you could care for. While there, you may want to take a walk on lovely Vanderbilt Beach.
