Explore this trail’s beautiful oak hammocks, pine uplands, and popash slough as you discover the intriguing flora and fauna of CREW Trust’s most diverse trail system. Join Dr. Oscar Johnson, an assistant professor at Florida Gulf Coast University, for a nest check walk at CREW Flint Pen Strand Trails. Explore how we can use bird nests for data collection and research as we check nests for a variety of bird species nesting on site, including purple martins, screech owls, and blue birds.
