Forest Bathing Wellness Walk at Rookery Bay
Next date: Saturday, January 03, 2026 | 09:30 AM
to 12:00 PM
Enjoy a slow, quiet, guided-sensory and meditative experience in nature at Rookery Bay Research Reserve. A Certified Forest Bathing Guide will conduct a guided-meditation session and offer a series of invitations to use your curiosity and senses to connect with nature and yourself. Look, listen, smell and feel what the forest is offering you.
Forest bathing, also known as shinrin-yoku, originated in Japan more than 40 years ago. The quiet and relaxing nature-based sensory experience has health benefits that may include reducing anxiety, stress and depression and improving sleep, cardiovascular health, cancer, and respiratory and immune function. Each session starts with a guided meditation and ends with a closing ceremony.
The program will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 14, March 14 and April 11 at Unity of Naples, 2000 Unity Way, Naples.
The programs will be led by a guide certified by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.
