"Four Old Broads" Are Back at the Arts Center Theatre
Marco Island Center for the Arts’ Arts Center Theatre kicks off the new year with laughter, outrageous characters, and Southern-fried hilarity in Miss Magnolia Senior Citizen Beauty Pageant, running January 8–25, 2026. Written by Leslie Kimbell and directed by Christi Lueck-Sadiq, this comedy reunites the beloved “Four Old Broads” with some wacky new friends for a night of nonstop laughs.
Against her better judgment, Lurleen Dupree finds herself hosting the seventh annual Miss Magnolia Senior Citizen Beauty Pageant. Martha Parcell is convinced this will finally be her year to take the crown—but Beatrice, Imogene, and Eaddy have other plans. As competition heats up, chaos ensues with a tambourine-playing squirrel, dueling Elvises, and an unforgettable spray-tanning mishap, making this knee-slapping comedy a must-see theatrical event.
The talented cast features Judy Daye as Beatrice Shelton, Denise Hoeflich as Eaddy Mae Clayton, Cindy Rea as Imogene Fletcher, Susan Rafferty as Hazel Dillard, Alex “Hubba” Costello as Sam Smith, Cheryl Duggan as Lurleen Dupree, John McGonigle as Clovis Crown, Cynthia Sepich as Martha Parcell, and Marie Huyler as Maude Jenkins.
A fan favorite from the creator of Four Old Broads, Miss Magnolia Senior Citizen Beauty Pageant celebrates friendship, rivalry, and the enduring joy of live theatre. Audiences can expect big laughs, colorful characters, and plenty of surprises.
Performances take place at the Arts Center Theatre, in the Marco Town Center. Tickets are available now at www.marcoislandart.org/arts-center-theatre or by calling 239-784-1186.
