The Art Council of Southwest Florida is excited to launch Young Creators, a new ongoing youth art education program designed to inspire the next generation through creativity, culture and hands-on artistic experiences.

Our first Young Creators Series workshop will be led by nationally recognized artist and educator Micah Goguen as part of the ¡ARTE VIVA! celebration at COCO Art Gallery Naples.

Young artists will explore the exciting world of watercolor, learning techniques, experimenting with color and discovering how their own creativity can tell a story. Surrounded by original artwork and the energy of a working gallery, participants will enjoy a unique opportunity to learn from a professional artist in an inspiring creative environment.

This special workshop is just the beginning!

Young Creators will continue throughout the year with opportunities to explore:

Watercolor • Painting • Mixed Media • Cultural Arts • Guest Artists

Each experience will introduce young artists to new materials, techniques, artists and cultures while encouraging creativity, confidence and self-expression.

Ages: I recommend 8–14 for this first workshop, unless Micah specifically prefers another age range.

We invite young creatives from beginner to advanced in this explorative two-hour class to reflect on their origin, and cultural heritage using watercolor and artists expression.
