Estero, FL (JUNE 5, 2025) – The Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed Land & Water Trust (CREW Trust) is pleased to announce the upcoming program schedule for July 2025. The schedule includes two exciting in-town lectures from CREW Trust’s ongoing summer lecture series as well as a public wildlife survey known as a “bioblitz” out on the trails.

Exploring CREW’s Fern Diversity

Join us as we discover the different fern species on and off the trails of CREW through the lens of our Environmental Education Intern: Silas. Dive into the research methods of vegetation monitoring while comparing fern biodiversity between different Southwest Florida habitats. Space is limited; advance ticket purchase required. Location: CREW Cypress Dome Trails, 3980 Corkscrew Road, Immokalee, FL 34142
Tickets: $5 for members, $10 for non-members
Join Trish Schranck, CREW Trust’s Engagement Coordinator, for a morning of wildlife surveying at CREW Cypress Dome Trails! Get ready to photograph as many wildlife species as you can as we hike the trails and document biodiversity and species abundance at CREW using the citizen-science app, iNaturalist. Closed-toe shoes, comfortable hiking clothes, a hat, sunglasses, water, and bug spray are highly recommended. Space is limited; advance ticket purchase required.
