Three Artists, One Vision: revamped gallery showcases collaborative artist studios and expands to house monumental sculptures
Naples, FL: (December 22, 2025) . . . Sculptor Joel Shapses is unveiling a dramatic transformation of his namesake gallery in the Naples Art District at 6240 Shirley Street, Suite 102. The reimagined gallery now brings together three dynamic artists under one roof, each contributing a distinct creative voice to a vibrant new artistic hub.
Inside the revitalized space, visitors can enjoy an immersive, three-in-one art experience. Distinct yet seamlessly connected areas showcase Shapses’ striking sculptural works, the working ceramics studio of Joan Eshkenazi—acclaimed for her textured, expressive pieces—and the continuing presence of artist and architect Richard Diedrich, whose studio remains integral to the gallery’s creative energy.
The new design features enhanced lighting, clean sightlines and a natural flow that encourages exploration while allowing each artist’s work to shine within a cohesive atmosphere. Across the street, a new sculpture studio offers the scale and openness needed to display Shapses’ largest works, creating a powerful counterpoint to the main gallery and offering visitors both intimate and grand perspectives on the art.
“This isn’t just a redesign; it’s a redefinition,” says Shapses. “Bringing together three artistic voices while creating space for my large-format work has energized my creative direction. The makeover changes how art is experienced and how the space functions for both artists and visitors.”
Updates include moveable walls and partitions for flexibility in exhibitions, adjustable LED track lighting with dimmers for precise illumination and specialized lighting effects from dramatic uplighting for
tall metallic pieces to angled spotlights that emphasize sculptural dimension. Gallery walls have been refreshed in a soft white gray to keep focus on the art, while polished hardwood floors provide a durable, understated base.
The open-concept layout integrates active working studios, giving visitors the opportunity to observe artists at work and connect directly with the creative process. Benches in each zone invite guests to linger, while a linear traffic flow ensures intuitive navigation. New displays -- built-in pedestals, niches, recessed shelving and rotating platforms — allow artworks to be appreciated from multiple angles, with generous spacing for viewing sculptures in the round.
