Two engaging presentations explore art, creativity, and the power of the human mind

Marco Island, FL – Marco Island, FL — Marco Island Center for the Arts invites the community to begin the new year with two thought-provoking speaker presentations in January 2026, featuring artist and art educator Rob Eder and speaker, artist, and author Thomas C. Keller. Together, these programs offer fresh perspectives on art history, creativity, and the extraordinary potential of the human mind.

On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., artist and art educator Rob Eder presents “Atmosphere, Action and Re-Action,” the first in his 2025 presentation series. Through the lens of a practicing artist and teacher, Eder explores the lives and works of Rembrandt van Rijn, Jackson Pollock, and Robert Rauschenberg, examining how each challenged artistic conventions, redefined visual language, and continues to influence contemporary art. From Rembrandt’s introspective self to Pollock’s gestural self to Rauschenberg’s expanded, world-entangled self, painting is revealed as a record of consciousness in action. This illustrated talk offers a compelling journey through art history, innovation, and expression.

On Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., Thomas C. Keller presents “Unlock Your Mind’s Superpower: Rewire Your Mind for Confidence, Clarity & Creativity.” This energizing one-hour presentation explores how neuroplasticity and creativity work together to reshape thinking, habits, and mindset. Through engaging stories, practical neuroscience, and simple creative tools, Keller guides audiences to activate the brain’s natural ability to adapt—sparking fresh ideas, boosting confidence, and breaking patterns that hold them back.

Keller brings more than 25 years of experience as a professional artist and creativity educator to his work. He is the author of the newly published book Discover Your NeuroCreative Mind: Stay Sharp, Creative & Vibrantly Alive, an accessible and uplifting guide to strengthening memory, confidence, and creative engagement at every age.

Both presentations will take place at Marco Island Center for the Arts, 1010 Winterberry Drive on Marco Island, and are free of charge with an RSVP. These talks are open to the public and offer enriching opportunities for art lovers, creatives, and lifelong learners.
