Naples Art District receives $15,000 grant to support 20th anniversary season, introduces butterfly art exhibit
“Wings of Wonder: The Miraculous Migration of the Monarch Butterfly to Central Mexico” will be a signature event this season.
NAPLES, Fla. (Oct. 28, 2025) – The Naples Art District, the largest concentration of professional working artist studios and galleries in Southwest Florida, received a $15,000 grant from the Collier Community Foundation to fund a collaborative events coordinator position for its 2026 season, which marks the organization’s 20th anniversary.
The new position will oversee coordination of a full slate of collaborative events, celebrating two decades of artistic growth.
“Our 20th anniversary is not just a milestone, it’s a symbol of endurance and transformation,” said Paula Brody, president of the Naples Art District. “From our beginnings with five artists, we’ve grown into a vibrant community of more than 100 working artists.”
Throughout the anniversary season, the District will feature original butterfly artwork displayed in and around studios on Shirley Street, J & C Boulevard and Yahl Street. The butterfly theme, symbolizing transformation, represents the District’s creative evolution over the past 20 years.
“Wings of Wonder: The Miraculous Migration of the Monarch Butterfly to Central Mexico” will be a signature event this season. The exhibition will be presented in partnership with ARTEVIVA!, Collier County’s celebration of Hispanic culture, and wraps up with a Free Open Studio event from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
Other major events include:
- Artful Arrangements: A collaboration between visual artists and floral designers to be held Jan. 16-18, 2026.
- Palette to Palate: A festive fundraiser uniting the culinary and visual arts that will be held on Feb. 12, 2026.
The Naples Art District offers free open studio hours year-round, giving visitors opportunities to meet local artists, tour working studios and participate in more than 50 art classes and workshops across diverse mediums.
