Arts Center Theatre Presents Neil Simon's Classic "The Odd Couple" February 5-23, 2025
January 16, 2025 Marco Island, FL – The Arts Center Theatre looks forward to the upcoming production of Neil Simon’s beloved comedy The Odd Couple, running February 5-23, 2025. Directed by the talented Paula Keenan, this timeless comedy about two mismatched roommates will bring laughs, charm, and heart to the Marco Island stage.
The cast features a mix of Arts Center Theatre favorites and exciting new talent. Lead roles include Jay Terzis, who will check off a long held bucket list item by taking on the role of the fastidious and neurotic Felix Unger, and Paul LoPresti, who was originally set to play Oscar Madison. However, due to an unexpected turn of events, LoPresti had to step down. In a stroke of theater magic, Joseph Byrne reached out to Brad Brenner, who seamlessly took over the role of Oscar, ensuring the production remained on track.
In addition, fans of the Arts Center Theatre will recognize Cheryl Duggan and Christi Lueck-Sadiq, who starred in the theatre’s previous production of The Odd Couple: Female Version as the Pigeon sisters. These familiar faces, along with new talents gracing the stage, promise a fresh take on this classic story.
Director Paula Keenan, who returns to the helm, has proven her ability to craft productions full of heart and humor. “Live theater is always a thrilling experience for the audience, and while we hope the excitement on stage will be contagious, we strive to make sure that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. This production of The Odd Couple is a perfect example of the joys and occasional drama that come with live theater,” says Keenan.
Despite the occasional hiccups, such as the mid-show cast change, the production is sure to be a hit, delivering the perfect blend of humor and heart that Neil Simon is known for. With its sharp dialogue and unforgettable characters, The Odd Couple remains as relevant and funny as ever.
Tickets are available now for performances running February 5-23, 2025. Don’t miss your chance to see this classic comedy brought to life by a talented cast and crew. Get ready for an evening full of laughs, love, and the quirky dynamics that only The Odd Couple can deliver.
