Marco Island Center for the Arts Presents: “Four Old Broads” – A Hilarious Mystery for All Ages!
March 19, 2025, Marco Island: The Marco Island Center for the Arts is thrilled to present Four Old Broads, a comedy filled with laughter, mystery, and a dash of sass, written by Leslie Kimball. This rollicking production runs from April 2 to April 13, 2025, at the Arts Center Theatre.
Beatrice Shelton (Marilyn Hilbert), a retired burlesque queen, has had enough of the “precious little German village” of Helen, Georgia, and is desperate for a real vacation. A Sassy Seniors Cruise through the Caribbean might just be the answer – if she can convince her best friend, Eaddy Mae Clayton (Denise Hoeflich), to stop praying and join her. But things at Magnolia Place Assisted Living haven’t been the same since Nurse Pat Jones (Diana Back) took over. Residents are mysteriously disappearing, including the forgetful Imogene Fletcher (Cindy Rea) and the always-planning Maude Jenkins (Ellen Rodwick). Meanwhile, Sam Smith (Andrew Ciliberto), a retired Elvis impersonator, keeps trying to woo every woman in the building. The wacky cast of characters is rounded out by the quiet and unassuming romance novel loving, nurse Ruby Sue Bennett (Susan Rafferty).
As a mystery unfolds, these feisty seniors work together to uncover the truth behind Nurse Pat's strange behavior and the mysterious happenings at Magnolia Place. Can they outsmart Nurse Pat, discover the secrets behind the mysterious pill, and solve the riddle of Doctor Head’s disappearance? Hilarity ensues as Imogene goes undercover, and Maude enters the Miss Magnolia Senior Citizen Pageant in a bid to divert Nurse Pat's attention.
