Terra Guitarra to Perform at Marco Island Center for the Arts' Musical Interludes January 23, 2025
Marco Island, FL – The world music-nuevo flamenco-new age project Terra Guitarra will bring their dynamic sound to the Marco Island Center for the Arts on January 23, 2025, at 5:30 PM as part of the center’s Musical Interludes series. This captivating performance will feature the duo's signature blend of blazing Spanish and world guitar rhythms, sparkling melodies, and spine-tingling harmonies, all infused with a visible onstage chemistry that creates an unforgettable experience.
Formed in 2008, Terra Guitarra burst onto the world music scene with their debut CD, Terra Guitarra. The album introduced listeners to the duo’s inspired original compositions, which evoke the sweeping natural landscapes of the planet, the magic of moonlit alleyways, and the epic journeys of floating on great rivers. Terra Guitarra is the collaboration of master guitarist Bruce Hecksel and vocalist and rhythm guitarist Julie Patchouli. Their performances combine innovative, percussive flat-picking and hybrid fingerstyle techniques, creating a wall of sound that leaves audiences wondering where the drummer is.
Reviewer RJ Lannen praised the duo's extraordinary skill: “How you get two guitars to sound like a 10-piece band is amazing!” Terra Guitarra’s live shows are renowned for their ability to merge two guitars into a rich, textured soundscape, captivating listeners with every note.
