Biomorphic Design art exhibition at PDA Gallery
Biomorphic design refers to a style that draws inspiration from natural forms and shapes, often imitating the curves, patterns and structures found in living organisms such as plants, animals and other organic entities. The term "biomorphic" comes from the Greek words "bios" (life) and "morphe" (form), literally meaning "life shaped." The design often emphasizes smooth, soft edges and asymmetry, contrasting with the rigid, geometric lines of traditional design approaches. It is a popular choice for its beauty, organic feel and connection to life.
Biomorphic Design is a curated collection of 40+ museum worthy decorative objects, vintage furniture, vessels and lighting that draw inspiration from the natural world. Each piece reflects the artist's commitment to pushing the boundaries of form and function with fluid shapes and intricate textures that evoke the beauty of biomorphic structures. Highlights include sculptural furniture pieces that blend comfort with aesthetic innovation alongside lighting designs that play with organic shapes and shadows transforming and elevating any environment.
The exhibition will be open to the public October 15 through November 29, Tuesday through Friday, 10 am until 3 pm and Saturday noon until 4 pm and by private appointment, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of organic forms and modern design.
