Intersections: 25 Years of the Naples Art Institute Collection
Intersections: 25 Years of the Naples Art Institute Collection, celebrates the seventy-year trajectory of Naples Art Institute, formerly Naples Art Association.
Beginning around 1999, we began acquiring works that formed the foundation of our permanent collection. We have had the privilege of amassing a substantial collection of works of art that were acquired either through donations by artists as well as by early and ongoing supporters whose lives intersected with the art educational activities of our organization.
Featuring diverse mediums such as paintings, sculptures, prints, watercolors, photographs, and drawings, the exhibition includes works by renowned contemporary artists like James Rosenquist, notable national and regional artists such as Elsie Dorey Upham, and self-taught artists and former students. Recent additions include photographs by Suzanne Camp Crosby and paintings by Reisha Perlmutter and Carmelo Blandino.
This exhibition underscores the enduring role of Naples Art Institute in promoting contemporary art and its commitment to ongoing acquisitions through donations.
