Southwest Florida is a critical stopover site for thousands of migrating and wintering wading and shorebirds. In this program, Megan Hatten of Audubon Florida and Collette Lauzau of Rookery Bay Research Reserve will discuss the identification, life history, and the incredible journeys many of these birds make annually. Join us for a 1.5-hour zoom session to learn ID skills and discuss the amazing journeys of our local and migrating birds.

Afterwards, you are invited to an exclusive 1.5-hour field trip to a local birding hotspot for an opportunity to practice bird identification skills with expert biologists. This field trip has limited space available and is FREE to those who have attended the zoom session. You will receive an exclusive link in your Virtual Binoculars Workshop confirmation email where you can sign up for this field trip.
