Listed as one of the top birding sites in Southwest Florida, the park is home to more than 160 species of birds. A 2.5-mile paved nature trail provides access to the lakes surrounding the park. The park also offers ball fields, restrooms, playground and picnic areas. Access to these amenities is from dawn to dusk.

A new family-friendly aquatics center opens July 2018 with two water slides, a family pool and a toddler pool. The operating hours for the aquatic center are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day. Admission will be free during the month of July to celebrate Parks and Recreation Month. Starting Aug. 1, the admission charge for the aquatics center will be $3 for children age 3 to 17 and people 60 and over; and $3.50 for adults 18 and older. Children less than 3 years old are admitted free.
