Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park Swamp Walks
If you are adventurous, follow a park ranger into the unique cypress swamps of the Everglades. If you'd rather see the Fakahatchee without getting your feet wet, explore the Boardwalk, your window into the Fakahatchee, where you will be surrounded by old-growth cypress trees and can marvel at the gators in the pond. The Boardwalk is on US-41 (Tamiami Trail) near the Indian Village, 7 miles west of SR-29 (I-75 exit 80). There is no charge but donations are welcome. Guided boardwalk tours are available for a fee.
