The Miller Family Announces the Rebirth and Reinvention of Legendary Everglades City Restaurant in Naples Just under one year after Hurricane Irma destroyed the legendary Oyster House in Everglades City, its owners, the Miller family announced today the rebirth of that iconic restaurant as The Pearl Steak & Seafood and will open its doors on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 with siblings, James and Jillian at the helm. The Miller family has a proud tradition of providing their community with high quality dining experiences for two generations. unchtime guests will find salads, soups, burgers, bites and sandwiches with flavorsome flair like ‘The Smuggler’, which is a traditional Cuban with fried grouper cheeks, ‘Fire-Tail Gator Bites’ with spicy aioli, ‘Smokehouse Burger’ with house-made barbeque sauce, piled high with crunchy onion straws along with a fresh selection of seafood and oyster specials daily. Dinner selections include favorites from both land and sea. Impressive hand-cut, wet-aged steaks, baby back ribs, fresh, locally caught fish artfully prepared along with pastas, salads and homemade soups derived from generations old recipes. A local favorite, ‘Shrimp n’ Grits’ is prepared with gulf pink shrimp and andouille sausage atop a plate of creamy, dreamy, cheesy southern grits. ‘Crispy Snapper’ is pan seared and topped with a tangy mango citrus salsa and salsa verde. ‘Big Daddy Mussels’ are served sloppy and salty in a bacon-beer sauce, ‘Saffron Linguine’ includes gulf pink shrimp, calamari, mushrooms and heirloom tomatoes in a creamy saffron sauce.
