Girls' Getaway to Naples & Marco Island

Gather the girls for a weekend of all-around pampering on the Paradise Coast.
A girls’ getaway to Naples and Marco Island means tough competition on the ninth hole, an abundance of shopping, luxury spa treatments and gourmet dinners stretching into the night. Here are some ideas for you and your squad.
Boutique Shopping in Naples
Shops and restaurants share space along palm-lined streets on Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South.

These lively shopping districts are known for their Mediterranean-style architecture and high-end offerings – they're the perfect spots for an al fresco lunch followed by a large dose of retail therapy. Stop by Tony’s Off Third for gourmet-to-go nibbles and then head to Marissa Collections on Third Street South for couture collections from Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Versace and Valentino. Also visit Castaway Clothing for quintessential Naples resort wear; buy fashionable get-ups for your little ones at Giggle Moon or stock up on hand-crafted stationery from Arabesque.
At Mercato, you’ll find a lineup of trendy restaurants and specialty boutiques. Stop here for fine dining at The Capital Grille or try tapas at Cavo Lounge, all before heading to any of the stores including Signatures. At The Village on Venetian Bay, more than 60 waterfront boutiques, galleries and restaurants thrive amid brick paths and courtyards. At Casanova Boutique, you’ll find women’s fashion from all around the world, and Di’s Dazzle Boutique has all of the sassy, sparkling accessories a girl could want.
Malls & Outlet Shopping
At Waterside Shops you’ll find designer stores overlooking water fountains and ponds. Make a luxe buy at any one of the upscale stores, from Tiffany’s and Saks Fifth Avenue to Talbots and Polo Ralph Lauren. For lunch, take in the view from any of the mall’s restaurants. Coastland Center also has more than 150 stores including Dillards, Macy’s and Victoria’s Secret. For a bargain, Miromar Outlets has the Banana Republic Factory Store, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH and the Neiman Marcus Last Call Store, just to name a few.
Naples’ Old Florida Charm
For unique treasures and Old Florida charm, head to Crayton Cove in the waterfront district next to Naples City Dock. You’ll also find plenty of treasures for your giftees (or yourself) at the Guess-Fisher Gallery. Treat yourselves to a ride on the Naples Bay Water Shuttle, which picks up passengers every 45 minutes from the Naples City Dock. Enjoy the ride with stops at nearby shopping areas including Tin City and Bayfront.
Golf & Spa Resorts

For massages, facials and manicures, look no further than one of the Naples’ area resorts. At The Spa at JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort, indulge with a Balinese massage or get extra refreshed with an Oxygen Cocktail Facial. Following your pampering session, consider a round of golf at The Rookery at Marco, a resort course nestled in shallow wetlands with an abundance of surrounding wildlife.
Maybe you’re planning a challenging ladies’ scramble at the Tiburón Golf Club? Home to the PGA Tour’s Franklin Templeton Shootout and the LPGA CME Group Tour Championship, The Golf and The Black courses are known for being challenging, with coquina shell bunkers and a lack of conventional rough. Post-game, recover with the Golfers’ Relief treatment at the spa at The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón.
For a group indulgence, The Woodhouse Day Spa in Naples offers spa parties and gatherings for you and your girlfriends to celebrate your getaway with a group package.
Dining in Naples, Marco Island & Everglades City
For delicious cuisine and a long wine list in a rustic setting, Osteria Tulia is the go-to for girls’ night. Located in the heart of downtown Naples on Fifth Avenue South, this trendy eatery serves up everything from Wood Roasted Faroe Island Salmon and fresh, handmade pastas to gourmet pizzas. For simple gourmet dishes served with local ingredients in a warm and welcoming environment, try Sea Salt. The menu of contemporary seafood made with organic and sustainable ingredients make this Naples restaurant a must try for raw oysters, Ora King Salmon and Swordfish “Milanese.”
At CJ’s on the Bay on Marco Island, you’ll find a lively crowd and stunning waterfront views. With generous cocktail and wine specials, along with a large menu of fresh seafood and favorite dishes, you’re sure to enjoy the atmosphere. Also on the island, The Bar & Bistro at Merek's is set in a quaint historic home. Dine on the enclosed porch or in the Olde English Library dining area at this award-winning restaurant.
It’s worth a trip to Everglades City for an Old Florida meal at City Seafood. Sit out on the dock at this Paradise Coast favorite for fresh, locally caught stone crabs, grouper sandwiches and frog legs.
Beaches & Fun on the Water

No trip to the Paradise Coast is complete without sun and sand. Naples Beach is a must-see, with miles of sandy shores and the picturesque Naples Pier that is a hotspot for fishing and sightseeing. For resort-goers, Vanderbilt Beach is home to Vanderbilt Beach Resort, LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort and The Ritz-Carlton, Naples. Open to the public, this stretch of pristine sandy shores offers direct access to the Gulf of America and is a prime spot for shelling and bird watching. It comes with all of the amenities too, including restrooms, showers and expanded parking, and it’s only a short walk from popular shops and restaurants.
On Marco Island, you’ll find four miles of peaceful beaches. Near to Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort, there are two public beach accesses: Tigertail Beach Park and South Marco Beach, both of which vary drastically. At Tigertail, the untouched dunes and lagoons are wild and pristine; at South Marco Beach, you’ll swoon over the palm-lined walkways and built-up skyline.
