Paradise Coast tem uma herança colorida e fascinante. Os índios Calusa um dia chamaram a região de “lar”, e posteriormente, os Seminoles. Os colonos pioneiros construíram fazendas de gado, enquanto outros se dedicavam à pesca, agricultura e caça nas Ten Thousand Islands. Na década de 1920, os colonos ricos do norte e centro-oeste passavam férias e pescavam nas nossas praias de areias brancas. Embora Naples e Marco Island tenham presenciado um enorme crescimento e desenvolvimento, as comunidades como Everglades City, Immokalee, Chokoloskee e Ochopee ainda oferecem vestígios dos dias de outrora.
